First Few Months

A lot has happened in the first few months of this year!  CMT has partnered with Kelly Affleck of Tomato Tomato and this has been a true blessing. 

I think I was trying to make the craft aspect a bit more than what it really needed to be.  I did indeed listen to you who mentioned that the costs were too high.  Therefore, Kelly and I are working out a schedule that is accomodating as well as being feasible on the check book.

For starters, we have now begun a Crafty Saturday that will happen on the first Saturday of every month.  You may drop in anytime between 1pm - 4pm and do a fun craft with Kelly for $5/per crafter.

This is just one of the many exciting events we have going on in the store.

I'll make sure to keep you posted on what is happening next.

Start of 2011

Where has time gone?  It is the start of 2011 and Creative Mom Toys openend its doors on November 28th - the day after Thanksgiving.  Also known as "Black Friday".  What an exciting ride!  We had tremendous success and cannot wait to start off the year even better.

What is happening for the New Year?  Well, for starters in the month of February - we will be offereing Arts and Crafts Saturdays for kids to enjoy, have fun and learn.  These sessions will run about 1 to 1 1/2 hours each and depending upon the craft, some of the sessions will be drop-off!  What parent would not like that??  Basically, we teach each child how to incorporate their craft in a correct manner, they would then have more of that craft to take home and enjoy some new friends while in the process.  Cost for each session will run around $30 - $35 per student.  Due to the size of each class, it will be limited and availability will be on a first come first serve basis.  Check back to learn more.

In the meantime, we're expecting a lot more inventory for the year and we are the place to stop for Birthday and general gifts for that special someone.

It's Official

Store Update

Well, last time I posted - it looked like things were moving well towards the possibility of opening an actual brick and mortar store for Creative Mom Toys. Well, little did I know how complicated signing a lease was and food they literally want to take out of your mouth.
There are a few points I am unwilling to compromise on and to do so would jeopardize everything that I have done up until this point in the business.
So, time will tell and will continue to update on a continual basis

Now that Spring is Here

Warm weather is right around the corner. Creative Mom Toys has made the venture of beginning the prospects of opening a storefront in the Seattle/Metropolitan area. A very busy time, yet many exciting adventures waiting to happen. We will be looking and trying new products as well as increasing the lines we currently carry.

Spring has arrived!

Spring has arrived, well at least in the Northwest it has. Right around the corner is Easter and what better way to collect those lovely easter eggs than to have one of our many Groovy Holiday felt bags. These bags are perfect for many occasions and better yet, can be doubled as a gift inside a another great gift. Browse the many selections and even the Spring pastel colors.

Fairs of the trade

Toy Fair in New York has just ended and unfortunately, this was a year that we were unable to attend. With our move back from Japan, we are busy settling into our routine in the U.S. However, there are and have been a few fairs we have attended and they are truly a fun and enjoyable time to meet cutomers, interact with many different personalities all the while engaging in conversations that truly memorable.
